New Beginnings

Hmmm where to start?

In January my wife Diana and I had been going through all sorts of Spiritual attacks... at home, in the church, at work, and most importantly in out friendships! If there was something that Satan thought he could get at us with he was attacking it. It was sooooo aggravating and discouraging!

So one evening Diana and I had a pretty rough night, we were trying to get in some much needed fellowship and some things happened that we were not able to go and we became very discouraged in this. So instead of doing what we had planned to do we took the last bit of $$$ we had and went to McDonald's with the kids. We ordered our food sat and ate and then left! As we got in the car a lady came up to use from pretty much nowhere! I had not seen her inside and I had not seen her around the store or anything. She politely asked us if she could pray for us. Diana and I had neither one ever met this lady or had even seen her around town and as she prayed for us we both just felt this overwhelming peace over us. After she got done praying she grabbed me by the hand and said God is going to use you and your family for BIG things in His Ministry. Amazed and a little terrified I nodded my head in agreement. We thanked her and we all went our separate ways.

Flash forward to August/September. Diana and I started attending Axiom Church again, a place we loved and missed dearly but God's perfect timing had not brought us back to that body for several months. We had great friends at Axiom, friends I will cherish forever. We were glad to be a part of the church again and to much surprise the church decided to close the doors on November 14th, coincidentally Diana's birthday! It was a sad day for a lot of our friends, and us.

During the last few months even leading up to our return to Axiom I had been seeking some ways to further my education. I had checked into Colorado Technical U. off the advice of a friend. Within a few weeks I was enrolled and quickly seeking out a degree in Business Management. Then one day I was at soccer practice talking to one of the soccer mom's and saw that she had an Indiana Wesleyan University. After talking to her about some of their programs I started to be very intrigued by what I had heard. So I started checking them out, and became very drawn to the fact that they not only had the degree that I wanted, but also offered degrees in Christian Ministries, and that was that. I withdrew from CTU before ever really starting and as of Feb 9th I plan on starting a degree in Christian Ministries and even beyond that I am feeling led to seek out a Master's in Ministry in the future!

So last week on Sunday I was informed that Axiom would be closing their doors. I was really not as upset as some may have been over it, but that does close a huge chapter of my family's lives for the last 2 and 1/2 years. So I was on the phone with my SIL Robin, and these words just started running out of my mouth "I am going to plant a church" to which her reply was "good luck with that" lol, not very encouraging lol. Within a few hours I discovered that I may have the very opportunity to do that and do it soon! Very soon! Well at least help plant a church! Very excited I was (in my best Yoda voice). I am very excited for what tomorrow brings and I know that if I keep my eyes fixated on Jesus that all will come of His good and perfect will.
